Contemporary Polish Art of Goldsmithing in Belgrade

Since May 12th until June 5th the Legnica's exhibition is presented in Muzeum of Applied Art in Belgrade (Serbia and Montre Negro). The Belgrade presentation has been organized with cooperation of The Polish Republic Embassy in Belgrade and Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

More then thirty Polish leading jewellery artists plus a group of our young Polish jewellery designers have been invited to present their pieces at the "Wspolczesna Polska Sztuka Zlotnicza z Legnicy" (Contemporary Polish Art of Goldsmithing from Legnica) exhibition. This exhibition has created complete revue of recent, most significant trends illustrating modern Polish aristic goldsmithing. We could see there the geometical approach, still continuing in our industrial jewellery design as well as pieces being results of experiments with forms and materials, in search for new means of an artistic expression. Considserable number of pieces belong to jewellery understood as mean of communication, some are results of conceputual view of an author.
