It seems that the need for considering the variety of
contemporary art aspects is currently higher than ever before. The openness and
ease of reception in art cause all limits to fade and reverse the creator -
audience relation. We do not know if the ease of a piece of art duplication and
its unspecified status menace and deny the art or if they are the future of the
art and provide a challenge for the artist.
We are organizing the
SILVER competitions in defense against creative and emotional passivity as well
as anonymous and easy substitution imposed on us by the present day. Under these
circumstances, the return to values and notions connected with the creators
individuality, such as idea, concept or project, gains importance.
We expect individual, open and daring works breaking the stereotypes, exceeding the
current art and behavior conventions and constituting artistic responses to the
existing inner and surrounding reality as
well as current questions asked by
contemporary art. Maybe we will also learn something about future?
